6 Month Photoshoot

Kayla, our personal photography so graciously agreed to take some six-month shots of our sweet babe. I cannot believe Rosie is 6 months old! Rosie is the biggest flirt, she smiles and giggles at everyone. Her motor skills have taken off this week, she has started rolling over and scooting around! Her reflexes amaze us, she can snatch things instantly. We're so in love with this stage, she has so much personality now and is so interactive with us. It has been a long and hard 6 months figuring her out but she has brought so much love and joy into our lives. We feel truly blessed to get to be her parents and can't wait for all there is to come!
The last couple months she has grown an attachment to her blanket and this stuffed animal. I love that she has comfort toys.
Those arm rolls kill me! I love how chunky she has gotten!
Thank Kayla for taking these awesome pictures!

5 Month Old Rosie

Rosie has hated tummy time since the moment we started doing it. But she has really made strides while we've been living in Iowa. She'll last a little longer before throwing a tantrum. I'm convinced she will never crawl ha.

Celebrated Garrick's first Father's Day, obviously that meant these two had to match to church. Garrick is an incredible father to Rosie. I'm so glad I married a man who loves kids so much.

Rosie isn't a morning person, she's a fragile flower when it comes to her emotions which is shown by this video haha.

Proof that she has cuddled with me at least once in her life.
Family night at the lake. Garrick and I were on the jetski and came back to find Rosie glued to my mom. She NEVER cuddles so it was so stinkin cute to see her like this for about a half hour! This picture melts my heart, she loves her grandma!
This babe looks amazing in a swimsuit!
Rosie's second movie theater experience went much better than her first. Her first movie was Mockingjay she slept through some of it and then woke up screaming so we spent the remainder of the movie in the lobby. But she did great during Independence Day! She just wanted to talk through the whole thing so we watched most of the movie in the hallway where we weren't next to people to distract. But we actually got to watch the whole thing!
Helping set the table.
Baby girls first 4th of July!

We've been doing some remodeling to the Beck house while we've been staying there. Kayla has been   on Rosie duty, this is what happens when I leave her alone with Rosie.

She has been sitting up on her own for a few weeks now. It literally happened overnight, all of a sudden she decided she wanted to sit up by herself and was a pro! She has also started sleeping through the night as of this week! 🙌 Her stubbornness is coming out the more we do tummy time, but she is so so close to rolling over! She is growing so fast and getting cuter every day. 💛

Reunited!

After our cruise, it felt like forever before we were reunited with our Rosie. She had changed so much in the whole week that we hadn't seen her. She can grip toys really well now, and she's still nursing, didn't even skip a beat! (I was really worried we would have to start over since she went a whole week with just a bottle), she can rock a pony tail (my mom bought her hair ties and had been putting them in all week, I never even thought to do that!) and she's been sleeping in the crib! Thanks mom and dad, we hadn't been able to get her to sleep on the hard mattress (I guess we're just newbies). Anyway, her room is  all set up at my parents house so putting her to bed is much easier. She had a little cold when we left but she is all better now!
BFFs reunited! I love that she knows who I am now!

Hanging out in the grass with daddy before bedtime!

Colby, Kelsi and Shae came to town and we went to the zoo! Rosie didn't really care about any of the animals but it was cool seeing some of the new exhibits!

Our Rosie baby is 4 months! She is the sweetest, happiest, and friendliest little girl! Her current loves are mirrors, toys (finally), books, her tongue, anything she can put in her mouth, and anything new-new people, new places, new things! It took a long time for us to think of what her dislikes are, she's such a happy baby! But we've learned that she really doesn't like formula, being put in her car seat, airplanes, missing her naps and the dreaded tummy time (pretty sure she will never crawl since she hates being on her tummy so much!) We're pretty obsessed and fall more and more in love with her each day. That ponytail and dimpled knees, I die!

One morning she fell asleep while hanging out with me in bed, it was the craziest thing! She is a super alert baby and never falls asleep easily. This was the one and only time that she has fallen asleep so quickly and easily. It was worth documenting!

Her face when it's time for a nap but she's fighting it.

Cousin Shae didn't really care about Rosie but Rosie loved staring at Shae the whole time they were here. One day they'll be friends, one day!
She's getting really good at sitting up on her own!
This is right after we were reunited and we saw how much improvement she had made in her toy grip.
A cute video that Garrick took while waiting for me after church.

Vacationing

We moved to Iowa to spend the summer working before moving to Missouri for Garrick's school. We spent about a week getting situated and then flew to Florida to vacation for 2 weeks! It was seriously heavenly. We spent a week at my parents condo watching movies, swimming, playing lots of tennis and eating way too much chips and salsa. My parents took us to Universal Studios which was amazing! This was Garrick's first time going, it was so much fun. We really lucked out and experienced hardly any wait time for rides, which is unheard of! Our favorite parts were both of the Harry Potter Worlds. Thanks mom and dad for taking us!!
Rosie was pretty beat by the end of each day. Heat and humidity are not her favorite. But she did way better than I thought she would!
Rosie's first swim! She was mesmerized by the suns reflection on the water, once the sun went away she was done.
Hanging out with Grandpa on the deck while we took Sunday naps.
Wishing we could stay here forever! After a week of Orlando, Garrick and I spent a week on a cruise to the Bahamas while Grandma and Grandpa Beck watched Rosie. They are seriously saints for watching her. We are indebted to them forever! Seriously, I know how hard it is to fly with an infant! We owe you guys big!!
I was pretty distraught saying goodbye to Rosie. The thought of leaving her for that long still brings me to tears. But I knew we were leaving her in the best hands possible. Luckily we had wifi on the cruise so they were able to send us lots of pictures and updates throughout the week.
We had the best time on our cruise. Loved every minute of it! We slept in, ate a ton, I took so many naps! And we got to swim in beautiful water and lounge on the beach. It was a much needed vacation. Life is so fun with this guy by my side. Thanks again mom and dad for letting us spend this time together!
