Sunflowers

On Sunday Rosie was having a hard time all day. We had church so she didn't nap, and she wouldn't eat any food and cried almost the whole drive to the sunflower farm (40min!) But this was our last chance to see the flowers before the end of the season and I knew she would love it once we finally got there. And she did! She was a total angel the whole time we were in the field. She was in heaven running through the flowers, it was like watching a girl in Neverland! She was having too much fun to take any pictures but I managed to get a couple at the very end! And sweet Golda, who also didn't nap well yesterday, didn't cry at all! It was such a beautiful and fun family experience even if it was like pulling teeth to get there! I'm so glad to have this sweet memory.

Golda at Two Months

This sweet babe is over 10lbs now! She has the mullet of an 80s rockstar, is super ticklish, loves warm baths, gives the biggest smiles, and is the chillest baby as long as she doesn't have to wait too long for her food and gets put to bed when she's tired (two very reasonable requests but made difficult when attention is shared with her toddler sister). Half of me feels like I can't believe she's only two months, it seems like she's been a part of our family forever and the other part of me is crying over the fact that she's already two months. She was my 5lb baby a minute ago!

Conference Weekend

Garrick had a course final Friday morning and we decided it'd be fun to spend General Conference weekend in Iowa since he wouldn't have any homework. We hadn't been to Iowa since Golda was born so we were looking forward to visiting. Rosie and I visited my parents house in June while Garrick was in Utah, we spent the week there and ever since then she has remembered my parents! She doesn't have to warm up to them overtime anymore, she's comfortable right away so it's made seeing them even more fun! She also remembers their dog, Rusty. So when we told her we were going to see grandma and grandpa she smiled but when I said we would also see Rusty her face lit up, she was ecstatic!! She loves that dog so much, despite Garrick's dislike for him haha.

Saturday and Sunday were spent lounging around the house, snacking on yummy food and listening to the uplifting talks from conference. In between sessions Grandma took Rosie on some walks with Rusty, she loved getting to hold his leash. She also played on the trampoline a couple of times. This is the first trip where she actually enjoyed the trampoline, before she would tolerate it and we would have to hold her. But this time she had a ball running around, falling, sitting, she loved the bounce. We had to make her get off every time, she could've stayed on there for hours!

Golda was literally an angel the entire time. She slept the whole drive there and back with no crying, which was amazing! I remember road tripping with Rosie when she was that age and she hated the car. Then while we were there she ate, hung out, and slept. She was soooo chill! My mom kept saying she had never seen a more perfect baby! She's always good, but she was exceptional on this trip! She went to sleep without crying, woke up to eat, and the time she was awake she just silently looked at everything going on. Gosh I love her. Rosie was such a hard baby (mainly because we didn't have a clue) but Golda has been an exceptionally easy baby and we are so grateful.
