Reunited!

After our cruise, it felt like forever before we were reunited with our Rosie. She had changed so much in the whole week that we hadn't seen her. She can grip toys really well now, and she's still nursing, didn't even skip a beat! (I was really worried we would have to start over since she went a whole week with just a bottle), she can rock a pony tail (my mom bought her hair ties and had been putting them in all week, I never even thought to do that!) and she's been sleeping in the crib! Thanks mom and dad, we hadn't been able to get her to sleep on the hard mattress (I guess we're just newbies). Anyway, her room is  all set up at my parents house so putting her to bed is much easier. She had a little cold when we left but she is all better now!
BFFs reunited! I love that she knows who I am now!

Hanging out in the grass with daddy before bedtime!

Colby, Kelsi and Shae came to town and we went to the zoo! Rosie didn't really care about any of the animals but it was cool seeing some of the new exhibits!

Our Rosie baby is 4 months! She is the sweetest, happiest, and friendliest little girl! Her current loves are mirrors, toys (finally), books, her tongue, anything she can put in her mouth, and anything new-new people, new places, new things! It took a long time for us to think of what her dislikes are, she's such a happy baby! But we've learned that she really doesn't like formula, being put in her car seat, airplanes, missing her naps and the dreaded tummy time (pretty sure she will never crawl since she hates being on her tummy so much!) We're pretty obsessed and fall more and more in love with her each day. That ponytail and dimpled knees, I die!

One morning she fell asleep while hanging out with me in bed, it was the craziest thing! She is a super alert baby and never falls asleep easily. This was the one and only time that she has fallen asleep so quickly and easily. It was worth documenting!

Her face when it's time for a nap but she's fighting it.

Cousin Shae didn't really care about Rosie but Rosie loved staring at Shae the whole time they were here. One day they'll be friends, one day!
She's getting really good at sitting up on her own!
This is right after we were reunited and we saw how much improvement she had made in her toy grip.
A cute video that Garrick took while waiting for me after church.

Vacationing

We moved to Iowa to spend the summer working before moving to Missouri for Garrick's school. We spent about a week getting situated and then flew to Florida to vacation for 2 weeks! It was seriously heavenly. We spent a week at my parents condo watching movies, swimming, playing lots of tennis and eating way too much chips and salsa. My parents took us to Universal Studios which was amazing! This was Garrick's first time going, it was so much fun. We really lucked out and experienced hardly any wait time for rides, which is unheard of! Our favorite parts were both of the Harry Potter Worlds. Thanks mom and dad for taking us!!
Rosie was pretty beat by the end of each day. Heat and humidity are not her favorite. But she did way better than I thought she would!
Rosie's first swim! She was mesmerized by the suns reflection on the water, once the sun went away she was done.
Hanging out with Grandpa on the deck while we took Sunday naps.
Wishing we could stay here forever! After a week of Orlando, Garrick and I spent a week on a cruise to the Bahamas while Grandma and Grandpa Beck watched Rosie. They are seriously saints for watching her. We are indebted to them forever! Seriously, I know how hard it is to fly with an infant! We owe you guys big!!
I was pretty distraught saying goodbye to Rosie. The thought of leaving her for that long still brings me to tears. But I knew we were leaving her in the best hands possible. Luckily we had wifi on the cruise so they were able to send us lots of pictures and updates throughout the week.
We had the best time on our cruise. Loved every minute of it! We slept in, ate a ton, I took so many naps! And we got to swim in beautiful water and lounge on the beach. It was a much needed vacation. Life is so fun with this guy by my side. Thanks again mom and dad for letting us spend this time together!

Graduation

Garrick's graduation got a little overshadowed with the news of my grandma passing, but we still made it a special day. Garrick is the first kid to graduate from college in his family. He has put his blood, sweat, and tears into this school and has come out graduating with honors. I am so proud of him. These beautiful pictures were taken by my sister Kayla. We drove home to Iowa that night, so to say it was a busy day is an understatement!

April 2016

April was a busy month! Garrick was busy with school, graduation, packing up all of our stuff and getting ready to MOVE to Iowa for the summer. Life got a little crazy especially toward the end of the month when Grandma Beck passed away and we rearranged our plans to make it home for the funeral. We said a quick goodbye to our Utah home.
Rosie's first Easter! We spent the day with the Beck Family at Mapleton which included our traditional egg toss and egg throw.

This babe has officially outgrown her newborn clothes and now fits into 0-3months!

First time in the stroller and she's cute as a button!

Our little gremlin.

This poor baby got an eye infection. She only took a pacifier the first month but anytime she isn't feeling well she'll take it. That's how I know something is off. It's too bad though, I think she is so cute with a binky, I wish she'd take it more often!
I try to get out of the house at least once a day with Rosie, whether it's going for a walk or laying on a blanket outside. I love it.

Rosie's three month update: She loves her hands, standing, talking, getting massages from daddy, off roading in the stroller. She hates going to sleep, pacifiers, being swaddled, and having the sun in her eyes. Can't believe she's already three months!

Before we moved we were able to spend some time with Garrick's family! It's pretty hard to get the whole group together so it was really nice to have everyone there. We even got to spend some time with his grandparents who had just moved to Utah. We've been very blessed to live so close to family for so long. We will miss our Gaffney family.

We finally made it home to Iowa just in time for everything. It was hectic getting there but was worth it when we were all together. Grandma Beck's funeral was beautiful, she lived a life of faithful christlike service and will forever be an example to us all.
